Deftones announce UK show for 2025

After a two-year wait, the nu-metal group Deftones is coming back to the UK! With hits like Cherry Waves and My Own Summer blowing up over the music community in the last few years, I have no doubt that this show will be filled with electric energy and pure hype.

As if this news isn’t exciting enough, the Grammy award-winning Sacramento band won’t be playing alone. The full list of special guests is yet to be announced, but it’s been confirmed that Weezer and High Vis will be joining them.

The alternative hits of Deftones and Weezer have taken the world by storm, with the latter having headlined at the When We Were Young festival and set to play shows in Japan.

The venue, Crystal Palace Park is no stranger to star-studded performances, having been the venue of Pink Floyd, Bob Marley and even The Rolling Stones in the past.

If you find alternative or nu-metal music intriguing in the slightest, this show will certainly blow you away. The echoey and grungy guitars of Deftones, as well as lead singer Chino Moreno’s stellar vocal delivery, have always blown me away from the very first listen. And Weezer is obviously iconic for many reasons, their Blue Album shaping the garage rock alternative template for years to come. The street punk and Madchester influences of High Vis should meld nicely with the other groups to create a truly unforgettable show.

The concert is scheduled for Sunday 29th June 2025 and will be at the Crystal Palace Park in London. Tickets go live on the 8th of November at 9AM via Ticketmaster, so get your black eyeliner and band tees ready!
