The well-known high street fashion brand H&M is bringing back its iconic designer collaborations, in a highly anticipated collection with none other than Mugler.
Since their first collaboration, with industry legend Karl Largerfeld, which was released in 2004, H&M has collaborated with all kinds of well respected and widely admired brands.
By routinely releasing one or two collections every year, H&M has allowed the high-end to become accessible to the general public. From Stella McCartney to Simone Rocha, H&M combines the unique and definable spine of their fellow collaborator’s brand alongside their ubiquitous style.
Their collection with Mugler, however, will be their most alluring yet, due to the high-end fashion brands classic skin-tight silhouette and elevated depictions of bodysuits and leggings.
Although H&M is yet to announce a specific release date, enthusiasts will only have to wait until Spring to get their hands on this collection.
But what can we expect?
H&M has announced, via a press release, that the Mugler/ H&M collection will be “crafted under the direction of Mugler's creative director Casey Cadwallader”, and “will encapsulate the unique and vibrant spirit of Mugler.”
Due to the easily definable spirit of Mugler and Cadwallader, it is possible to predict the nature of the garments released in this collection. Slinky, well-fitted corsetry and uniquely sculpted bodysuits are among some of the things we should expect, as this highly-esteemed brand becomes accessible to the masses.
