Liberty Belle Magazine were invited to a sneak peek at Turtle Bay’s limited edition Valentine's Bottomless Dinner. This is how we found it:
As we arrived at Turtle Bay we were seated quickly and our server ran through our menus and how Bottomless Dinner works. We were offered our first drink just minutes after we were seated, which of course is always a good sign when doing a bottomless meal. There were plenty of drink choices, with options including the entire cocktail menu alongside prosecco and Red Stripe lager. We chose the Tobago Tea for our first drink, a Caribbean twist on a traditional Long Island Iced Tea.
There was also a lot of choice when it came to food, as the entire food menu was included in Bottomless Dinner. You have the option of two courses, either a starter and main course, or a main course and dessert, or you can go for all three. We opted for a starter and main course, which we found to be just right.
For starters, we chose the Sweetcorn Fritters and the Trini Doubles. Both dishes were full of flavour with just a hint of Caribbean spice. Both of our starters happened to be vegan options and taking a closer look at the menu we realised that there was a huge amount of choice for vegans, vegetarians, and meat-eaters alike.
The service was friendly and attentive, and the servers were quick to take our drinks orders. Even before our main course had arrived we were able to try three more cocktails: a Passion Martini, Mai Tai Punch, and a Tingaling. The cocktail menu really does include something for everybody, with some being sweet and fruity whilst others are on the more bitter side.
Our main courses arrived and they were delicious. We went for the Tofu Buddha Bowl; a colourful bowl of fruit and vegetables, jerk glazed tofu, and rice, and the Fish Fry; a platter of coconut squid, crispy salmon, spiced fries and coleslaw. Both dishes looked and tasted amazing,
A few more cocktails later, we decided to end the night with some sweet dessert cocktails. Dessert Island, a salted caramel twist on an espresso martini, was sweet, creamy and the perfect drink for dessert. The Strawberry Daiquiri was sweet and fruity, another classic that is a great way to round off the night.
Turtle Bay’s Valentines and Galentines Bottomless Dinner is running from 12th-14th of February and is available to book now.
